Run to Remember
Northwest Cary YMCA, 6903 Carpenter Fire Station Rd., Cary, NC 27519
Join Fit and Able for the annual Run to Remember event held during Memorial Day weekend. This inspiring race takes place at the Northwest Cary YMCA and utilizes the beautiful Cary greenway trails, providing a fantastic backdrop for athletes of all levels. We are proud to host this event to support the local Veterans of Foreign Wars and honor those who have served.
Participants can choose between in-person or virtual options for the two, four, or six mile race distances. All finishers will receive a commemorative medal and gift when registered by April 26th. With over 4,000 dollars in potential awards across various age groups and divisions, there is plenty of competitive excitement to go around. You can even earn rewards by referring friends or forming a racing team.

Run The Quay 2026
at Fuquay Varina Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, Fuquay-Varina
Run The Quay 2026 is an annual running event in Fuquay-Varina featuring certified 5K and 10K courses. This event brings together athletes of all ages and abilities for a morning of competitive road racing through the local community.
Participants can choose from the 5K, 10K, or the 15-Quay Challenge, which involves completing both races back-to-back. Packet pickup occurs Friday, June 5, from 3 to 7 pm at Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church. On race day, the 10K begins at 7:00 am, followed by the 5K start at 8:30 am. Event staff encourage early packet pickup to ensure a smooth morning experience for all runners. Awards will be available for collection starting at 9:15 am.

National Trails Day 5k/3k 2026
at E. Carroll Joyner Park, Wake Forest
The National Trails Day 5K/3K is a community run and walk event hosted in Joyner Park to support the maintenance and expansion of local greenways in Wake Forest. Participants may choose between a 3.1-mile 5K course or a 1.8-mile 3K course along paved trails.
Athletes will enjoy a timed race experience with awards presented to top finishers across multiple age categories. The 5K and 3K routes offer a scenic way to engage with the park system while contributing directly to future trail development through entry fee proceeds. Runners and walkers of all fitness levels can expect a well-organized event focused on outdoor recreation and park preservation.
