Freedom Ride Rescue Turkey Day 5K
The Freedom Ride Rescue Turkey Day 5K is an annual community event serving as our primary fundraiser to support medical care for rescue dogs and orphaned puppies. This event raises critical funds to help us continue our mission of providing specialized care for dogs in need. Participants can choose between a 5K race or a 1 Mile Fun Run. Both courses feature relatively flat paved trails that showcase scenic seasonal park views. Whether you are an experienced runner or a casual walker, these paths are designed to be accessible for everyone. We encourage participants to wear Thanksgiving themed costumes to add to the festive spirit. Well socialized dogs are welcome to join the race on a non retractable leash of six feet or shorter. If you cannot attend in person, you can still support our cause as a virtual racer and receive a race shirt. We are capping participation at one thousand registrants this year to ensure a high quality experience for all. Register early to secure your spot and take advantage of lower pricing before fees increase as the event date approaches.
