This two-session introductory workshop teaches youth the fundamental skills required to start their crochet journey. Students will learn basic techniques over three hours of instruction to complete their first project, a handmade square coaster. This class serves as the essential first step for those interested in building long-term textile art skills.

Participants will receive professional guidance on how to hold a hook, manage yarn tension, and execute foundational stitches. The course structure ensures every student leaves with a finished item and the foundational knowledge required for more advanced patterns. All necessary yarn, hooks, and tools are provided at no additional cost, so students simply need to arrive ready to learn.

This course is specifically designed for beginners who are new to fiber arts. The classroom environment is supportive and focused on skill development, making it an ideal setting for students to build confidence in their crafting abilities. After successfully completing these two sessions, participants will have the prerequisite experience needed to advance to our Level 2 class. Registration is open now for all interested youth seeking to develop a new creative hobby.
