This workshop introduces youth students to the fundamentals of crochet through two 90 minute sessions. Participants learn essential techniques and complete a square coaster project during this guided experience. The program provides all necessary tools and materials for each attendee.

The curriculum focuses on core skills such as holding the hook, yarn tension, and basic stitching. Students will practice these methods in a supportive environment designed to build confidence with handcrafting. Upon completion, participants gain the foundational knowledge required to transition into the Level 2 class, which explores advanced techniques like the granny square.

This class is ideal for youth beginners interested in exploring a new hobby. The sessions are structured to ensure everyone receives individual attention while mastering the basics of needlework. The atmosphere is collaborative and beginner friendly, making it a great way to develop manual dexterity and creative problem solving skills.
