This hands-on sewing class teaches you how to construct functional fabric bowl cozies. You will learn essential techniques including sewing darts and working with multiple layers of batting to protect your hands from hot or cold bowls.

During the workshop, you will gain practical experience in precision topstitching and layering non-stretch cotton fabrics. These skills serve as a foundational step toward more complex sewing projects like bag making, quilting, or garment construction. You will leave with a completed cozy and the confidence to replicate the process at home for gifts or personal use.

This session is designed for individuals looking to build their technical sewing abilities in a focused environment. No prior experience with darts or batting is required. Please bring one or two cotton fat quarters to class. Purchasing your supplies at Craft Habit grants you a 10 percent discount. We encourage you to sign up today to advance your craft and tackle projects that may have felt intimidating in the past. Join us for an engaging session of skill building and productive sewing.
