This two-part crochet series is an introductory workshop designed to teach foundational skills through a hands-on project. Participants will create a square coaster while gaining essential techniques applicable to future projects like bookmarks and scarves. The class provides a structured environment for those starting their fiber arts journey.

During the sessions, you will learn the fundamental chain stitch, single crochet, and double crochet techniques. The workshop also covers how to perform color changes and add new yarn to your work. By following this project-based format, you will develop the physical coordination and technical knowledge required for more advanced crochet and amigurumi projects later on.

This class is perfect for complete beginners looking for a clear starting point in their crochet education. While we offer a separate round coaster class, you do not need to attend both to participate. However, we recommend completing both sessions for a balanced and comprehensive learning experience. The atmosphere is supportive and focused on skill building. If you are ready to learn a rewarding new craft, please join Amy Stagner at Craft Habit to begin your creative practice today.
