Description

Yin is In is a restorative yoga class designed to help participants slow down through deliberate movement. This session focuses on long held poses that prioritize stillness over physical exertion to help participants release deep tension and calm the nervous system. By utilizing seated and lying positions supported by props and the floor, the practice minimizes muscular effort and encourages mindfulness. Participants will explore the technical differences between Yin yoga and more active styles of practice while discovering the physiological benefits of extended holds. This session serves as an introduction to the practice of stillness and intentional slowing. The class is open to all skill levels and no prior experience with Yin yoga is required to participate. The atmosphere is quiet and steady to ensure everyone feels supported throughout the session. If you are looking to find balance in a busy schedule or want to improve your flexibility through passive stretching, this class is an excellent fit for your needs. We invite you to step away from the fast pace of daily life and join us for this grounding experience.
