Description

This two-hour workshop serves as an introductory course for individuals with no prior experience in machine sewing. It provides a foundational understanding of how to operate a sewing machine, making it ideal for those who do not yet own their own equipment.

Participants will gain hands-on experience in essential tasks. You will learn to set up and thread a machine, wind a bobbin, and change a needle. The curriculum covers basic operational techniques including stitching with a precise seam allowance, executing a backstitch, and adjusting various machine settings. We also dedicate time to common troubleshooting methods to ensure you feel confident solving minor issues independently.

This class is designed for beginners who feel intimidated by the process and need a supportive environment to start. By the end of the session, you will possess the fundamental skills necessary to advance into our Level 2 sewing series. If you already own a machine and wish to learn its specific features, please register for our alternative course, Sewing Level 1: Get to Know Your Machine. Join us to begin your journey into the craft of sewing today.
