Paint, Sip, and Ponder: Quilts
The North Carolina Museum of History invites you to participate in an engaging paint and sip event focused on the history and artistry of quilt squares. This program combines creative expression with educational exploration in a social setting. You will have the opportunity to learn about historic textile traditions while painting your own masterpiece to take home.
Professional staff from Wine and Design will provide step by step instructions throughout the session to ensure all guests feel confident in their artistic progress. Museum Curator Diana Bell-Kite will lead a presentation on the history of quilt making, providing context to the patterns and techniques featured in the class. This combination of hands-on creativity and academic insight offers a unique way to connect with local heritage.
This event is open to participants of all skill levels, as no prior artistic talent is required. Guests under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by an adult. The event is BYOB, so please bring your preferred beverage, excluding hard liquor. You are also encouraged to bring snacks to enjoy during the class. Register now to reserve your spot for this relaxing evening of art and history.
