Math Makers: Free Playful Math Exploration

Discover the wonder of mathematics through Math Makers, an engaging monthly program designed for young learners at the scenic Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh. This unique initiative invites families to explore the fascinating intersection of nature, culture, and mathematical concepts through hands-on creative projects. Led by expert instructors from Natural Math and the NC Network of Math Teachers Circles, participants will collaborate on curious creations that bring complex ideas to life in an accessible and exciting way. Every attendee receives a special math kit to take home, ensuring the learning experience continues long after the session ends. This program is dedicated to fostering curiosity and building confidence in every child through collaborative play and discovery.

These educational events are completely free to attend, though advance registration is required to secure your spot. Registration typically opens two weeks prior to each scheduled date. We encourage families to join us for our upcoming sessions throughout the autumn season. We look forward to seeing you at the park for an afternoon of creative exploration.
