Light Up Main (Small Business Saturday & Annual Tree Lighting)

Light Up Main is a festive community event in Downtown Garner that marks the start of the holiday season. The celebration combines Small Business Saturday shopping with the town annual tree lighting ceremony to bring residents and local businesses together for a shared seasonal experience.

Attendees can browse offerings from local vendors and food trucks throughout the downtown area. The event schedule features live performances by community choirs, dancers, and musicians. Families can participate in a holiday read-a-long session with Santa. The highlight of the evening occurs at 6:00 PM when Mayor Buddy Gupton and Santa lead the official lighting of the town tree. These activities offer a comprehensive way to enjoy local culture while celebrating the holiday traditions of the Garner community.

This event is designed for residents of all ages and is perfect for families looking for an accessible way to kick off the winter festivities. The atmosphere is centered on community connection and local support. We invite you to join your neighbors downtown to enjoy the music, support local shops, and witness the tree lighting ceremony.
