Haunted Trail I: Family Trail 2026

The Haunted Trail I is an annual family friendly outdoor event held at Carroll Howard Johnson Park. This seasonal experience invites community members to enjoy a festive walk designed specifically for young children and their families to celebrate the fall season in a safe environment.

Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes while exploring the walking paths. Throughout the journey, attendees will meet various characters stationed along the trail, offering interactive opportunities and engaging entertainment. The atmosphere focuses on lighthearted fun rather than scares, making it an ideal outing for smaller children and parents looking for an accessible holiday activity.

This event is perfect for families seeking an active and memorable community experience. Because parking is not available directly at the park, please park at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center. From there, you can take the complimentary shuttle bus to the trail entrance or enjoy a walk along the Jeff Wells Trail to reach the park. We look forward to seeing your costumes and sharing this festive tradition with our local families this year.
