10th Annual Dia De Los Muertos

The City of Raleigh Museum hosts the 10th Annual Dia De Los Muertos celebration. This free community event honors Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada and explores the connection between poetry and tradition as part of the 12th Annual El Quixote Festival. It serves as a space for neighbors to gather, remember loved ones, and celebrate cultural heritage.

Attendees can experience a diverse program featuring live music, dance, and poetry. Highlights include an altar display by Lety Alvarez, performances by the Raleigh Celletons, Baile Folklorico Vicky, and various musical acts. Traditional refreshments such as hot chocolate, pan tradicional, and atole de cacao will be available alongside family friendly arts and crafts stations and professional face painting.

This event is open to the public and designed for families, art enthusiasts, and community members of all ages. It offers a unique opportunity to engage with local artists and explore historical cultural traditions in an inclusive, educational setting. Join us at the museum to participate in this vibrant celebration of life, artistry, and community spirit throughout the evening.
