Description

This two-session workshop introduces young beginners to the fundamental skills of machine sewing. Participants will learn how to operate a sewing machine while completing a functional custom tote bag project from start to finish. This class provides a structured environment for students to build confidence and essential textile skills.

In the first session, students will master basic machine functions, practice stitching techniques on paper and fabric, and prepare the patchwork pocket for their bag. During the second session, the focus shifts to threading, adjusting stitch styles, and experimenting with decorative designs. Students will conclude the workshop by assembling their final tote bag, including handles and their personalized pocket.

This course is designed specifically for youth interested in learning to sew in a supportive and practical setting. No prior experience is required to participate. The environment is instructional and focused, ensuring every student receives the guidance needed to succeed. Spaces are limited, so we encourage early registration to secure a spot for your young creator. Join us to start a new hobby and gain valuable hands-on experience in this engaging introductory class.
