William Peace University Annual Tree Lighting

The William Peace University Annual Tree Lighting is a festive campus tradition that marks the official start of the holiday season. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are invited to gather on the Main Lawn to witness the illumination of our iconic 32-foot Christmas tree.

This year the evening features special guest host Meghan Lamontagne from the MIX 101.5 Morning Show. Attendees will enjoy a live performance by the Broughton High School Marching Band and a special appearance by Phantom the mascot. President Jennifer Walsh will lead the official tree lighting ceremony at 7pm. Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies will be served throughout the evening and guests may take advantage of a holiday photo opportunity on site.

This event is perfect for families and anyone looking to enjoy a cheerful evening of community spirit and holiday tradition. Whether you are a student finishing up the semester or a local neighbor, this event offers a warm and inviting atmosphere to celebrate the holidays together. We look forward to seeing you on the Main Lawn for this memorable seasonal kickoff.
