Tongue and Groove is a recurring open mic event held at Artspace in downtown Raleigh that showcases diverse local talent. Since 2014, the event has provided a dedicated platform for poets, musicians, storytellers, and other performers to share their creative work in a supportive environment.

Performers participate through a lottery system to secure a time slot. Names are drawn at 12:45 PM for fifteen seven minute slots, with the show beginning promptly at 1:00 PM. Three additional four minute slots are drawn halfway through the event. Please note that while the show embraces various creative formats, it does not include comedy performances. This structure ensures a focused experience for all participants.

This event is designed for anyone interested in witnessing or sharing ephemeral art in a collaborative setting. The atmosphere is professional yet welcoming, making it an excellent space for artists to practice their craft before an engaged audience. If you wish to perform, ensure you arrive by 12:15 PM to enter your name into the lottery. We look forward to seeing you there.
