Photo Workshop: Framing the City with Ana Galizes

This photography workshop led by Ana Galizes teaches participants how to master their cameras and improve their urban photography skills. The session focuses on essential techniques like framing, composition, perspective, and point of view to transform how you interpret urban environments.

Students will walk through Raleigh to photograph local architecture, public spaces, and daily street details. You will learn to use your existing equipment to control visual storytelling and communicate specific experiences through your images. The curriculum emphasizes the technical choices that turn everyday scenes into compelling photographs rather than relying on expensive gear.

This class is designed for photographers of all skill levels who want to sharpen their artistic eye. The atmosphere is collaborative and observation-based, making it perfect for anyone looking to refine their technical control while exploring the city. Whether you use a professional camera or a smartphone, this workshop provides practical tools to elevate your portfolio. Register today to join a community of learners dedicated to capturing the heart of the city through a more intentional lens.
