Sensory Friendly Playtime

Sensory Friendly Playtime is a dedicated event designed for children with disabilities and their families to enjoy the museum in a quiet setting. We adjust the environment to ensure a comfortable experience by limiting crowd size and reducing loud sounds or bright lights throughout the facility. This session provides a calm space for play and exploration at your own pace.

Attendees can explore our exhibits without the usual sensory intensity found during public hours. We remove background music, dim overhead lighting, and minimize noisy equipment to create a supportive atmosphere. Families have the freedom to interact with hands-on displays and engage in creative activities while feeling fully supported by our staff. You can move through the galleries freely and enjoy a stress free visit with your loved ones.

This event is specifically tailored for neurodivergent children and those who prefer a quieter environment. We welcome all families who value a relaxed pace and a predictable setting. Please join us for an inclusive morning of discovery and play. Registration is available on our website and we encourage you to book your spot today.
