PONDER Program: Park it at the Market
Park it at the Market is a community program hosted by PONDER at Downtown Cary Park. This event provides an engaging morning of exploration designed specifically for people living with dementia and their dedicated care partners. It serves as a space to build connections through shared interests in local food and nature.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of curated activities during the session. The schedule features a food tasting experience, hands-on art projects, and a culinary demonstration. A major highlight is a horticulture chat led by Emmy winning expert Patrick McMillan. These experiences are structured to be sensory rich and highly accessible for all participants to enjoy together in a relaxed setting.
This program is intended for care partners and their companions to attend as a pair. Both individuals must complete separate registrations as this is not a drop off event. Care partners are required to remain present for the entire duration. We encourage you to join us for a morning of meaningful interaction and laughter. Please look for an email containing parking, accessibility, and logistics information prior to the program date.
