Description

The Indigenous Peoples Day Ceremony is a public celebration hosted in Apex to honor the histories, cultures, and traditions of native communities. Organized in collaboration with the Triangle Native American Society, this event promotes education and meaningful connection within the local region.

Attendees can experience a variety of cultural programming throughout the day. The schedule features live musical performances and traditional storytelling sessions that highlight indigenous heritage. Visitors may also participate in interactive friendship dances or engage with hands-on craft activities suitable for all skill levels. Various local food vendors will be on site providing refreshments, offering an opportunity to sample regional culinary traditions in a community setting.

This event is open to the entire Apex community and welcomes individuals of all ages and backgrounds who wish to learn more about indigenous culture. The atmosphere is designed to be educational, respectful, and celebratory. We encourage residents to join us for this day of shared history and community building. Please mark your calendars and prepare to participate in an engaging and informative afternoon as we celebrate the ongoing contributions of native peoples.
