Free Guided Tour of N.C. State Capitol
Experience the rich political history of North Carolina with a visit to the State Capitol in downtown Raleigh. This National Historic Landmark is a stunning example of Greek Revival architecture, completed in 1840 to replace the original structure. Guests are invited to explore the rotunda, the historic senate and house chambers, and the Governor's office area through our engaging guided tours. Tours are held every Saturday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. with no reservations required. Simply walk through the front doors to join the group and enjoy an hour of discovery.
Beyond our scheduled guided tours, the Capitol remains open for self-guided exploration throughout the week, offering a perfect way to immerse yourself in state heritage. Whether you are a history enthusiast or planning a family outing, this accessible experience provides a fascinating look into our legislative past. We encourage you to reach out via phone or email or check our official social media pages for the most current schedule updates before your visit.
