Ballet for Beginners Part II
Ballet for Beginners Part II is a guided movement workshop for adults exploring dance through a trauma-informed and inclusive lens. This session builds upon foundational ballet techniques in a welcoming environment that celebrates all body types and skill levels.
Participants will learn new positions for feet, arms, legs, and heads, followed by a playful routine designed to build confidence. The session begins with introductions and a reflective journaling exercise to foster connection. We will practice foundational movements across the floor, ensuring everyone feels supported throughout the process. The afternoon concludes with a communal meal prepared by chef Jay Ross, providing a space for attendees to debrief and relax after the class.
This event is ideal for anyone curious about ballet, regardless of prior experience. While this is the second part of a series, completion of the first workshop is not required. If you seek a supportive community to engage with your body through dance, this workshop offers a grounded and intentional experience.
