Triangle Rowing Club
Triangle Rowing Club (TRC) is a nonprofit, membership-based youth rowing organization located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Founded in 2008, TRC is dedicated to promoting character, commitment, athleticism, and teamwork among middle and high school students through the sport of competitive rowing.
🚣 Programs Offered
Learn-to-Row Camps (Summer): TRC offers week-long Learn-to-Row camps for rising 6th to 12th-grade students. These camps provide hands-on experience in eight-person rowing shells, teaching participants rowing techniques, safety, boat handling, and terminology. Each session runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at Lake Wheeler Park. The fee for each session is $285.
Middle School Program: Designed for 7th and 8th graders, this co-ed program introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of rowing, focusing on fitness, teamwork, and responsibility. Middle school rowers often train alongside high school squads, fostering a cohesive team environment.
High School Program: Open to students in 9th through 12th grade, the high school program includes both novice and varsity levels. Athletes practice 5-6 days a week and compete in local, regional, and national regattas. The fall season focuses on endurance races (~5,000 meters), while the spring season emphasizes sprint races (1,500–2,000 meters). Off-season training is available during summer and winter months.

TRC athletes regularly compete at major regional and national regattas, including the USRowing Southeast Youth Championships and the Head of the Charles. Many rowers have earned scholarships and positions on collegiate rowing teams across the United States.
