Tyler is amazing! They were extremely helpful, patient, and invested in our experience. I was just visiting from the West Coast and I’m excited to check this place out again when I visit again. I laser etched one of my most precious possessions and the process was so cool to watch! They have a bar, you can bring food, you’re encouraged to ask questions and just have fun! Highly recommend!

The first class I took the instructor barely showed up to class. When I expressed concern nobody seemed to care. Years later I tried taking another class and the instructor was extremely unorganized and when I dropped the class I was antagonized and harassed by the instructor begging me to come back. I requested my money back but they would not give me any portion of it back so I contested it with my credit card and got the money back that way. It's a shame they built a second building for this place. It's not worth the investment and that space could have gone to something better in Carrboro.

My daughter has done aftercare at the ArtsCenter for the past two years and she (and we) absolutely love it! The staff are wonderful and the program itself is so inclusive. Highly recommend!

I took a pottery class here last year and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The class felt unorganized—the main instructor was mostly absent, only briefly checking in, and the session was instead led by two other individuals who seemed to be improvising as they went. That said, the two women who did lead the class were very kind and helpful.

The biggest issue came afterward: I returned to the center four separate times over the course of three months trying to pick up my finished piece, but it was never located. It was also difficult to get assistance during these visits, and when I reached out to the original instructor by email, I never received a reply.

Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend taking pottery classes here.

Cute little arts center with small music auditorium with great sound system. Listened to Les Trois Chats (local jazz) and Scandimonium (Nordic Folk, and so cute to see them dance) back to back with a 30 min intermission during the Carrboro music festival all around town. Super nice staff, easy center parking so skip all street parking by the bars and restaurants. Bit hot inside but hey free.
