This was our first time to the park and it didn't disappoint. Although cold and windy, the trails were great and the wildlife was incredible. We will definitely come back because he liked the hills and the people we passed were very friendly......

If you want to enjoy a nice claming and windy ,freash lake walk, Lake Johnson Park is a good place. It has a restroom near the entrances and plenty shade when walking the trail. If you want to enjoy the lake view, you can sit on the deck.

Great walking trails, both paved and unpaved, meander alongside the lake. For those who prefer the water, kayak rentals are available for a leisurely paddle. A fishing dock offers a perfect spot to cast a line and wait for a bite. Those seeking a different vantage point can stroll across the walking bridge, another ideal location for fishing. With so many options, it's an outdoor enthusiast's paradise.

I suggest going early in the morning as parking at the main entrance is limited, but there are several additional parking lots around the lake.

I found so many different types of mushrooms on my walk! Enjoy your visit!

Beautiful Park with a large paved walk path, or venture off the paved area and follow the trail directly by the water, watch your step on this gorgeous trail 🤩

Around ~3 miles of shaded hike! I love walking this trail when it’s warmer so I don’t overheat. It does get busy but there’s plenty of parking lots located around different parts of the trail. On top of that, people kayak and use the picnic shelters located around the lake. It’s a great beginner level trail walk/run (with about 2 areas with slightly steeper hills midway). It’s definitely well kept and secluded so it doesn’t feel like you’re in a city.
