I and my 5 children (ages 15-8) have been taking lessons at JAKS for the past 4 years. We have learned so much and we love it. The owner and staff are professional, friendly, and have a wealth of knowledge regarding all things equine. The atmosphere and clientele are friendly, welcoming, and supportive. At JAKS you will learn more than just how to ride a horse. You will learn how to respect and care for the animal, how to care for the tack, how to prepare for a ride, and how to become a competent and successful horseman/woman. It’s not just about riding- it’s so much more- and you and your child will learn it all. The owner of JAKS has a strong sense of community and heart for outreach. She wants to see her students grow and succeed no matter what it takes. Continued education and subject specific group lessons/clinics in horse training are offered as well as traditional school tutoring, if your student is struggling with grades. The amount of effort and care that goes into the success of the students is unmatched. We are beyond satisfied with JAKS Stables and HIGHLY recommend their program to anyone interested in learning western horseback riding and ALL that goes with it.

Our daughter has been riding with Hannah and JAKS for 3 years now and we would give her 10 stars if we could! We love the structured environment and accountability taught to each rider. Parents are required to adhere to the terms of their contract, no ifs ands or buts. As it should be! Hannah and the entire JAKS family is welcoming and supportive of one another. We love our barn family!

Just updating my original review now that we have been at Jaks going on 8 YEARS! It is still the best thing we ever did for our kiddo and thank Hannah and Brie and Caitlyn for teaching my child ALL the aspects of horse care - not just “how to ride a horse that has been saddled for you.”
It has taught discipline and dedication, what hard work really is and has helped my child prepare for the adult world.
My child has learned that rules are there for a REASON - which is safety and good horsemanship.
My kiddo is now in the beginning stages of giving back and teaching :) LOVE JAKS

We started lessons with Jaks Stables for around 4 years now and it has been the best thing we could have ever done for our daughter. Hannah “gets” these kids and understands how to bring out the best in them. She cares deeply for her students and their families as well as her horses. It has been a wonderful experience and I highly highly recommend them!

I got my twins gift cards at JAKS for Christmas one year to try riding for the first time and was beyond impressed with what they were taught in such a short time!! As someone who rode/showed etc for about 17years of my younger life I wanted a place that taught safety first and everything you should know about how a farm operates. Hannah is beyond knowledgeable and will make sure your child will learn all the important things first so that they will be safe riding and while at the farm! We have now been with JAKS for almost 4 years!😃

Cute place! Reservations only, so there's never a big crowd. Very focused on safety. Plenty of friendly helpers. My kids loved it. We've been there 3 times now. This time it was Halloween with the horses.
