This is a great place to spend a couple hours or more, and the park is not far from Winston-Salem, NC. We really enjoyed the water falls at this park. The trails to the falls are not too far or strenuous, and are worth the walk. It is a very peaceful area, and a pleasure to explore. We went earlier, in the morning on a Saturday and the crowds were not too bad. It was a good idea to bring some good hiking shoes or boots, due to the rocks in some areas, these were slippery. Ensure that you check out the rock window at Window falls, there is a wonderful hidden, view of the waterfall.

This hike is worth getting to the top. I would rate the hike as moderate to hard. There are steep inclines and then smooth trails to get to the top. Once up to tje hanging rock, you will just want to stay. The views are beautiful, and so are the formations of the huge rocks. Gods majesty in full view! We did not make it to the waterfalls because we were pooped after coming down off the mountain. We definitely plan on going back to camp and seeing the waterfalls. Highly recommend!!
