Clemmons Educational State Forest

This place is gorgeous and we desperately wanted to stay, but we have a daughter in a wheelchair and this place is not wheelchair friendly in any capacity at all. We walked a little bit they we had to turn back, and what we saw was beautiful and charming and peaceful. There were tiny frogs hopping all over the trail and we loved it. I just wish it was somehow more accessible for disabled people.

There were lots of spots for picnics and bbq'ing and outdoor classrooms and I think any non-disabled person would really be able to enjoy it there. Unfortunately, we won't be back unless they pave some of it.

We’ve heard so many great things about this park and finally had a chance to experience it ourselves this weekend. We saw “Talking Rock Trail” and it did not dawn on us that you get to hear an actual audio recording explaining the different types of rocks. It was so cool! We don’t have little kids and still found it educational and entertaining. We only did the short trail due to time constraints but would definitely come back to check them all out!

The single most beautiful park I've ever been to, and it's also educational! Not to mention there is a great big pond with fish and turtles.

It's beautiful here and very open. There are many trails to walk, there is also plenty of information about the forest itself and the trees within it. There is also a lake with turtles in it. It does get very busy on the weekends and it is dog friendly.

Absolute heaven on earth. Gorgeous views, beautifully maintained comfortable walking trails, helpful and kind staff, clean bathrooms, just a lovely natural space. Would absolutely recommend.
