Carolina Sailing Foundation

The Carolina Sailing Foundation (CSF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sailing education and racing opportunities in central North Carolina. Operating primarily out of Crosswinds Boating Center on Jordan Lake, CSF offers programs for youth and adults, aiming to teach safe sailing practices and foster a love for the sport. ⛵ Programs Offered Summer Camp: Designed for children aged 9 to 16, these camps provide basic sailing instruction and introduce racing skills during the summer months. Junior Sailing: Targeting the same age group, this program offers sailing lessons and racing opportunities primarily in the fall and spring seasons. High School Sailing: Focused on high school students, this program provides sailing and racing instruction, helping participants compete against other high school teams from the Southeastern US. Adult Sailing: Geared towards adults with little or no sailing experience, these lessons are informative and engaging, offering an opportunity to learn sailing in a supportive environment. 🚤 Fleet and Instruction CSF utilizes a variety of sailboats tailored to different age groups and skill levels: Hunter 216: Used for adult sailing lessons. Two-person 420: Employed for teen sailing programs. Optimist Dinghy: Designed for young sailors. All programs are conducted by experienced instructors, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
