Carolina Basketball Museum

This museum was awesome! We went to the Duke basketball museum earlier in the day, and there was no comparison, this one was leaps and bounce better! Bob met us at the door and guided us to the six minute video. After the video we entered the large room that had tons of memorabilia and information about the great coaches and players in the storied history of UNC basketball. My personal favorite was the feature on Michael Jordan. This place is well worth a visit.

It was really awesome! It was free. No lineup. And the guy that was sitting at the front entrance, the host, I believe his name was Bob… What a gentleman. You know, he's probably volunteering too, and I'm glad he is. We need more human beings like that in this world. So generous, educational, Want the whole 9 yards. Especially with me visiting from far away, he really helped.
They did not just fancy Michael Jordan, it was a lot of history on North Carolina. It was really amazing to see the videos, and the six minute intro video on the history of basketball at North Carolina. The coaches, the family, the legends that went into the NBA, and even students and alumni that are still connected. I grew up in Canada, then joined the military, didn't really do the whole university thing at first… But if I can go back and do it, I definitely look into going into North Carolina. It's better than a university.

This was my first time at the museum as my husband surprised me with tickets to my first Tarheel game. The museum is awesome and packed with a lot to see and read! Highly recommend it.

Awesome experience to see UNC basketball through the years. It was nice that it wasn't an MJ shrine and had pieces of the recent teams. Well laid out and a lot of interesting facts and moments about the team.

Must see if you are in the area. We made a quick stop and super glad we did! The staff was very welcoming and answered any questions we had. The whole museum is done very nicely!
