Bit of Pleasure Horse School is FANTASTIC in all the ways!!

My daughter is 6.5 years old, she/we realized her passion for horses and horseback riding last Summer after attending a couple sessions in a Horseback Riding Summer Camp, in California where we lived at the time - she went on to attend group & private lessons at 2 different locations over the next 7 months.

When we made the cross-country move, I wanted to do my part to keep her grounded with the things that brought her the most joy, focus and connection ... which for for my daughter, is Horseback Riding.

I began researching in April, and even though I saw some locations closer I wasn't thrilled with the reviews I read (they also didn't respond to my message).

I happened to come across Bit of Pleasure Horse School because I saw the flyer for Summer Camp - and when I called, Carmalee not only answered the phone, she was nothing but a pleasure to speak with!!!

We tried out a Lesson the next week, and fell in love!

The Ranch is BEAUTIFUL - easily accessible from major highways, but at the same time it's quiet and peaceful.

The horses are well cared for and wonderful with the students! - My daughter has become very close with them, and looks forward to her visits (which is such a gift, because I believe extra-curricular activities should be led by JOY).

Carmalee and Linda do such an incredible job creating a safe, fun, educational environment! I love how organized each lesson is, and the curriculum that Carmalee follows keeps it engaging and progressive!

Lastly, we also attended BOTH Summer Camp Sessions in June- and honestly if there were more, we'd be there! :). They really did a superb job with a fun mix of riding, horsemanship, crafts, games & connection! My daughter LOVED attending more than any other Camp so far (and she's gone to A LOT).

If you're looking for an incredible horseback riding & horsemanship experience - THIS IS IT!

My 11yr old son Jude has enjoying weekly riding lessons with Carmalee for the past year, right after attending their summer horse camp. From the start, we have truly felt part of the Bit of Pleasure family. Jude has grown tremendously in all areas of horsemanship, which in turn has built on his confidence and interpersonal skills. The school is involved in the local community, which we love. They've hosted egg hunts, horse rides, and games like potato sack races & obstacle courses for the community to enjoy. Their prices are more than fair. We are so grateful for our Bit of Pleasure family 💜

Bit of Pleasure Horse School is a great place to get kids familiar with basic horse care and English and Western riding skills. Their lessons are "soup to nuts" as they incorporate the entire experience from grooming to riding to after lesson horse care. Carmalee and Linda are great at instilling a real love of horses in their riders. They also have a good way with kids. They inspire them to be the best they can be. Highly recommend this riding school.

My daughter's had an absolute blast with Miss Carmi and all the wonderful campers that attended! Definitely recommend this farm and the instructors to guide your kiddos into the horse world.

Fantastic camp! My daughter learned so much and really got some great hands on experience with the horses. I would highly recommend!
