My family LOVES Arts Together! Their camps are great but we really feel strongly about their dance programming! My daughter has been taking dance lessons at AT for three years now and is always sad when the season is over. As a parent I love that they not only teach technique but the history behind different styles. The teachers also really focus on encouraging a positive sense of self and nurturing emotions in a healthy way. Truly an amazing group of folks!

We've been so incredibly happy with our experience at both the Arts Together Preschool and the Summer Camp. The teachers are beyond incredible. With unending patience, playfulness, and compassion, they create magical, creative, and joyful experiences for the students each day. If kindergarten-readiness is your focus, the preschool prepares kids with social-emotional learning, motor skills, math, and reading skills. They also foster a deep love of nature (the kids often attend class in the outdoor classroom where on any given day they may have a bug scavenger hunt, press flowers into an art project, or plant an herb garden). The holistic arts education, including music, drama, and art, has also been so beneficial for our daughter. She has built confidence, perseverance, and a love of performing! She has absolutely thrived in this school, has made incredible friendships, and is completely supported to be herself and to follow the beat of her own drum! Big thanks to the amazing teachers, Preschool/Summer Camp Director Lauren Youngman, and Coordinator Olivia Sullivan for providing such an enriching place for young children. I wholeheartedly recommend Arts Together!

My daughter attended here during the summer, and she always came home happy, excited, and proud of the fun little projects she had made. I felt very comfortable leaving her there. The teachers and staff were always warm, thoughtful, and the whole place has such a nice building and atmosphere. I definitely recommend their summer camps.

My child was very hesitant about attending a preschool. After a recommendation from a friend I went to tour Arts Together and was wowed by it all, but Ms. Sarah sealed the deal for my child and I. During the tour she came by and greeted us...well more my child! She got down to their level, rolled around, played around, and just had an amazing immediate connection (I can tell Drama is her thing!!). My little one loves and raves about Ms. Karen (and her dancing!) Ms. Valeria and her knack to engage the children with art - like bringing in a fresh octopus when they were learning about and drawing octopus. Granted my little one didn't want to touch, it was such a memorable amazing experience and I loved hearing all the stories at pick up time. Definitely recommend 10 out of 10.

Quick edit - I would be remiss to not note how great EVERYONE is. Ms. Olivia, Mr. Duane, Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Lauren...I can't list them all. They are all so amazing and provide such a warm and welcoming learning enviornment full of fun, art, drama, academics.

Wow! What an amazing community to be a part of. Arts Together is truly an inclusive, welcoming place to be. I learned so much taking their adult dance classes taught by their high quality instructors. It's a wonderful space to dance in because the joy and love of dance is central in every aspect of their dance program. Arts Together is a gift to Raleigh and I would recommend it to anyone looking for dance classes!

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

301 Pogue St, Raleigh, NC 27607
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star is an interactive children’s theatre piece for very young audiences, performed by two Star Keepers named Glimmer and Sparkle. It’s time for the night sky to fill with stars, but one important star — Little Star, the wishing star — is missing because Sparkle rushed through putting the stars away the previous morning and muddled everything up. What follows is a search-and-rescue adventure as the two star keepers (and the audience) hunt for Little Star, discovering along the way that all the other stars have been put in the wrong places too and need to be moved to their proper place. Audience members help the Star Keepers find and re-organize the sky just in time for nightfall so that everyone can make a wish on their favorite star. Twinkle, Twinkle explores the ideas that mistakes happen, feelings are valid, and no one has to face hard things alone – all wrapped up in a genuinely joyful romp about stars. By Ernie Nolan Produced by special arrangement with Plays for New Audiences Dialogue complexity: conversations are short but use more vocabulary than some other shows; performers also use physical actions, props, music, and songs to tell the story. What is Theatre for the Very Young? Theatre for the Very Young (TVY) is theatre designed for ages zero through five to support their cognitive development. The purpose of TVY is to support our youngest audience members in engaging with creative play, introducing them to narrative storytelling, and exploring social and emotional learning in a fun and approachable way. TVY is designed to be sensory friendly and an open space for movement, vocalization, and exploration! Pre-show activities! Audiences are invited to arrive 30 minutes prior to each showtime (when the “house” opens) to participate in a free pre-show activity, coordinated by RLT’s education department.
