Welding Thin Gauge Metals
This hands on workshop focuses on the technical challenges of welding thin gauge metals. The course provides essential techniques to manage heat input, preventing common issues like warping or burn through during delicate projects.
Participants will gain practical experience with specific welding connections including spot, plug, and lap welding. You will spend the session applying these methods to create sample joints while learning how to effectively control thermal distortion. These skills are directly applicable to tasks such as automotive body panel restoration and detailed metal sculpting.
This class is designed for individuals who have already completed our introductory fabrication course or possess basic welding experience. The environment is collaborative and focused on building confidence with thin materials. We provide all necessary materials, and you will leave with your sample joints and the knowledge needed to tackle future metalwork projects with precision. Space is limited, so please ensure you meet the prerequisite requirements before registering for this session.
