Weekly Raleigh International Folk Dancing Sessions
Discover the vibrant world of global movement every Friday evening at Glen Eden Pilot Park. The Raleigh International Folk Dancers invite you to join a community dedicated to exploring and preserving cultural dances from across the globe. Since 1968, this inclusive group has welcomed dancers of all skill levels to experience the joy of movement in a friendly environment. You do not need a partner or any prior dance experience to participate in these engaging sessions.
The evening begins with instruction focused on accessible steps, perfect for beginners looking to learn the basics. As the night progresses, the repertoire shifts to include intermediate and advanced dances for those ready to challenge their skills. This program is presented at no charge through the support of Raleigh Park and Recreation, making it a fantastic way to stay active and meet new people.
Whether you wish to participate fully or simply observe the grace and energy of the group, you are welcome to attend anytime from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. Embrace this unique opportunity to connect with different cultures through the universal language of dance.
