Walk Through the Seasons is a monthly guided nature hike at Prairie Ridge designed to help you observe the shifting beauty of the local landscape. Led by an experienced naturalist, this program focuses on building your skills in reading the woods and prairie environments throughout the year.

During each hike, you will explore diverse habitats while documenting your findings. You will learn to use the iNaturalist app to identify mystery plants and animals you encounter along the trail. This hands-on experience turns your mobile phone into a functional tool for contributing to collaborative community science projects. You will gain practical knowledge about local ecology while actively contributing to real-world data collection.

This event is perfect for nature enthusiasts, curious learners, and anyone interested in citizen science. The atmosphere is casual, educational, and welcoming to all skill levels. We encourage you to bring your curiosity and a smartphone to get started. Come join us to connect with the environment and learn how to better understand the natural world. Register today to secure your spot for our next monthly seasonal walk.
