Science in the Spillway at Bond Park
Join us at the beautiful Bond Park for Science in the Spillway, an engaging two-day pop-up event designed to ignite curiosity about the natural world. On April 11 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., families are invited to explore the fascinating intersections of art, science, and environmental stewardship through a series of interactive, hands-on activities. This program offers a unique opportunity to connect with experts and participate in educational experiences that celebrate our local ecosystem.
On April 11, we are thrilled to host the North Carolina Herpetological Society for an up-close look at our local snake populations. Then, on April 18, we will conclude the series with a vibrant Spring Family Field day, featuring an array of outdoor recreation games perfect for all ages. These sessions are intended to foster a deep appreciation for the environment while providing a fun-filled atmosphere for the entire community. We encourage everyone to mark their calendars and join us for these free educational sessions. Come experience the wonders of Bond Park and discover how art and science come together in nature. We look forward to seeing you there for these inspiring spring days.
