About

Embark on an exciting scientific exploration during the second day of the City Nature Challenge at Prairie Ridge Ecostation. This program invites participants to dive deep into the fascinating world of minibeasts. We will be venturing through the prairie on a guided, leisurely half mile walk specifically designed to uncover the hidden lives of insects and other tiny creatures that inhabit our ecosystem. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to global biodiversity data by documenting your findings on the iNaturalist platform.

Please arrive prepared for an outdoor adventure by bringing plenty of drinking water and your preferred camera equipment. Whether you are using a professional lens or a smartphone, you have everything needed to capture incredible macro photography of these often overlooked creatures. This event is open to nature enthusiasts ages eight and older who are eager to learn more about our local environment.

We encourage you to join our community of citizen scientists as we document the vibrant life in our landscape. Secure your spot for this educational outing and help us make a significant impact on our local research initiatives. We look forward to exploring the wild with you.
