Passport to the Moon Astronomy Days
Embark on an unforgettable lunar journey at Astronomy Days: Passport to the Moon, hosted by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! On January 24th and 25th, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, immerse yourself in a weekend dedicated to all things lunar.
This free, family-friendly festival, held at both the Nature Exploration Center (NEC) and Nature Research Center (NRC) on 11 West Jones Street, Raleigh, promises a stellar experience. Engage in hands-on activities, peer through telescopes, and hear fascinating talks from leading scientists, all while exploring the wonders of the moon. Outdoor activities will be located on Bicentennial Plaza.
Please be aware that Blast-Off Rockets will be launched on Bicentennial Plaza throughout the event, creating a loud popping noise. Attendees sensitive to such noises may prefer to enter through the NRC entrance at 121 W Jones St. Don't miss this opportunity to ignite your curiosity and discover the mysteries of our celestial neighbor! Check the museum website for a detailed schedule and prepare for liftoff!
