About

How do naturalists and scientists document their discoveries while working in the field? Through the intentional practice of nature journaling, you can record your observations, questions, and experiences of the natural world using a combination of writing, detailed sketches, and diagramming. We invite you to join our park staff for an immersive session designed to sharpen your observation skills while exploring the beauty of our local preserve. This hands-on program introduces various journaling techniques that allow you to capture the essence of your surroundings in real time.

No prior artistic or journaling experience is necessary to participate in this workshop, as our staff will guide you through every step of the process. We provide all essential materials for the class, although you are certainly welcome to bring your own personal tools if you prefer. This session is designed for ages ten through adult, making it a perfect opportunity for families or individuals looking to connect with nature on a deeper level. Spaces are limited, and pre-registration is required to attend. Secure your spot today and start your journey as an amateur naturalist.
