Learn to Ride a Bike at Dix Park
Embark on an exciting journey toward cycling independence with our all-ages Learn to Ride a Bike program at the beautiful Dix Park. This engaging initiative is designed to help children master the essential skill of balance, serving as the critical first step toward riding a bicycle without the need for training wheels. In a safe, supportive, and fun environment, our expert team provides hands-on guidance to ensure every participant feels confident and secure throughout the learning process.
To facilitate the best experience, we provide balance bikes and helmets for all attendees, though you are welcome to bring your own equipment for modification. This program is made possible by our partnership with the Oaks and Spokes Safe Routes to School initiative, reflecting our commitment to making Raleigh a bike-friendly community. Best of all, this event is completely free for the public thanks to the generous support of the Dix Park Conservancy donors.
Spaces are limited, so we encourage families to act quickly to secure a spot for their children. Registration opens two weeks before each scheduled date at noon. We invite you to join us for this energetic program and take the first step toward cycling success today.
