K-5th Adventures: Backyard Birding
Join the Wake County Public Library for an exciting and educational afternoon as part of our Women in History month programming. Designed specifically for school-age children in grades K-5, this interactive session invites young explorers to discover the wonders of the natural world. Through engaging hands-on activities, participants will learn about the life and work of inspiring female scientists who have dedicated their lives to studying and protecting our feathered friends.
During this session, children will create their very own personalized birdwatching kits to use at home, encouraging a lifelong passion for nature and wildlife conservation. This event serves as a wonderful opportunity for kids to develop new skills, ask questions, and connect with their peers in a creative, library-supported environment.
Attendance is completely free, though space is limited, so we encourage families to plan ahead. Please visit our official website to register and secure your spot for this fun-filled adventure. We look forward to welcoming you to the Southeast Regional Library for an afternoon of learning, discovery, and birding fun.
