Calling all young nature enthusiasts to join an exciting, hands-on learning adventure at the JC Raulston Arboretum. During our Budding Explorers Plant Detectives program, youth participants accompanied by a parent or guardian will step into the role of scientific investigators. Together, we will discover the fascinating world of botany by making careful observations of the diverse plant life growing throughout our gardens. This immersive experience focuses on understanding complex plant structures, unique growth patterns, and the remarkable adaptations that allow these living things to thrive in their environment.
Our session includes creative activities and a guided garden tour designed specifically for children between the ages of eight and ten. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the natural world while developing critical observation skills in a professional and supportive setting.
