Jazz’d Up Sundays is a recurring concert series in Downtown Cary Park featuring live jazz performances produced by Christian Tamburr. This free event is open to the public and offers an opportunity to experience professional musicians in an outdoor setting. The series aims to provide a melodic journey through the diverse world of jazz.

This week features drummer and educator Kobie Watkins and his ensemble, the Grouptet. Watkins brings years of experience from his work with acclaimed artists such as Sonny Rollins and Branford Marsalis. Attendees can expect a performance that blends hard swinging rhythms with soulful expression. The ensemble focuses on a sound that remains grounded in tradition while exploring modern jazz textures.

This series is suitable for jazz enthusiasts, families, and community members looking for a vibrant musical experience. The atmosphere is designed to be accessible and engaging for all visitors to Downtown Cary Park. We invite you to join us this Sunday for an afternoon of professional live music. No registration is required, so simply arrive early to secure your spot for an afternoon of high quality jazz performances.
