Instrument Petting Zoo at Dix Park
Experience the joy of musical discovery at the Instrument Petting Zoo hosted at Dix Park. This engaging and interactive event invites participants of all ages to explore a variety of musical instruments in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you are a curious beginner or a budding enthusiast, this hands-on program offers a unique chance to play everything from percussion kits to melodic noisemakers. We believe that music is a universal language, and this session is designed to foster creativity and community connection through shared rhythmic exploration.
In addition to the interactive music stations, guests will enjoy live performances by talented youth quartets, providing inspiration for your own musical journey. We also feature a creative sensory art station where attendees can express themselves by painting old instruments. This program is completely free to the public, made possible by the generous support of the Dix Park Conservancy donors. Join us for a fun afternoon of sound and imagination. We encourage you to bring your friends and family to help us create a vibrant musical atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you there for a day of melody and discovery.
