Description

In Motion, In Time is a live choreographic response to Marlo Pascual’s artwork Untitled (2012), currently featured in the Partial Figure exhibition. This performance explores the complex interplay between physical concealment and emergence through intentional movement. It serves as a bridge between visual art and dance, offering a fresh perspective on the tensions captured within Pascual’s work.

Choreographer and performer Amy Beasley utilizes her body to navigate themes of exposure and structural constraint. You can expect a series of movements where limbs press through imagined ruptures, tracing the literal and metaphorical struggle to be seen and made whole. The performance highlights the raw effort required to exist within a frame, drawing direct inspiration from the static forms found in the gallery.

This event is designed for art enthusiasts, dance followers, and anyone interested in interdisciplinary performance. The atmosphere is quiet, contemplative, and focused, allowing for a deep connection with the artwork. Join us to witness how the human form translates two dimensional art into a dynamic experience. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to secure your viewing spot in the gallery.
