Family Fun Day: Squirrels
Join the City of Raleigh Museum for an exciting and educational Family Fun Day dedicated to our favorite local woodland creatures. This engaging event offers a fantastic opportunity for families to explore the museum while participating in themed activities that celebrate the squirrels of Raleigh. Participants can get creative by making their own squirrel headbands, join an interactive scavenger hunt to search for hidden acorns, and capture a memorable moment with our mascot, Sammy the Squirrel. This event is designed to foster curiosity and provide a joyful environment for children and adults alike to learn about nature in a historic setting.
The event takes place in the heart of downtown Raleigh at the historic Briggs Building. Admission is entirely free, making this an accessible outing for the whole community. We invite you to bring your family for a morning of discovery and fun on April 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. No registration is required, so simply show up ready for an adventure. We look forward to seeing you there for a day of community, learning, and playful exploration.
