Durham Chess Enthusiasts Weekly Meetup

Sharpen your strategy and enjoy a vibrant community atmosphere at the weekly Durham Chess Enthusiasts meetup. Hosted at the inviting Der Nachbar Bottleshop and Taps on Hillsborough Road, this event invites players of all skill levels to engage in friendly matches and intellectual stimulation. Whether you are a seasoned grandmaster or a curious beginner eager to learn the game, you will find a welcoming space to test your wits in a relaxed and social environment.

The venue offers an excellent selection of craft beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages, along with a spacious outdoor patio that welcomes leashed dogs. Feel free to bring your own takeout or enjoy delicious local snacks if food trucks are on-site during your visit. This recurring event is entirely free, making it the perfect midweek activity for friends and neighbors alike. Please note that an adult must accompany any participants under the age of eighteen.

Join us every Tuesday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to connect with fellow players. We encourage you to visit the official website calendar to confirm details before you head out for a night of checkmates and camaraderie.
