Description

This interactive workshop invites college students to engage directly with the work of artist Nancy Baker Cahill. Participants will gain hands-on experience exploring the intersection of digital technology and fine art within a creative academic setting.

The session centers on the collaborative development of Substrate, a prominent installation featured in the exhibition Nancy Baker Cahill: Ecologies of Scale. Students will contribute their own material to the artwork, exploring how digital layers can expand traditional artistic boundaries. This is a unique opportunity to interact with an established artist while contributing to a live exhibition piece.

This workshop is designed specifically for college students interested in digital media, art history, or creative technology. You can expect a collaborative and high-energy environment that fosters artistic experimentation and critical discussion. Please bring a smartphone or tablet along with a journal and writing utensil for notes. If you do not have these tools, the organizers will provide all necessary supplies on site. Join us to build, create, and explore the future of digital expression in this dynamic session.
