About

Welcome to Destination Discovery, an engaging program hosted by GiGi Playhouse at the Joyner Park Community Center designed specifically for children between the ages of 5 and 14. This initiative operates on the core belief that play is the most effective vehicle for both fun and essential learning. Our structured sessions prioritize the development of fine and gross motor skills, alongside vital social and language capabilities, all facilitated through purposeful activities and meaningful peer to peer interactions.

Beyond individual growth, this program serves as a vibrant hub for families to come together in a casual and supportive environment. It is a wonderful opportunity to share personal experiences, foster lasting relationships, and build a strong sense of community with others who understand your journey. Whether your child is honing new abilities or simply enjoying time with friends, every session is crafted to be both educational and inspiring.

We invite you to join us every third Friday of the month, with additional sessions scheduled during the summer of 2026. Please visit the Wake Forest Rec Desk online portal to view the complete schedule and complete your registration today to secure your spot.
