Children's Parade 2026
The Children's Parade is an annual Fourth of July tradition inviting local youth to celebrate the holiday through a festive walking parade. This community event provides an opportunity for children to display their patriotic spirit while parading through town with their decorated bicycles and wagons.
Participants should arrive at the intersection of North Main Street and West Juniper Avenue by 10 a.m. for the event lineup. The parade route officially commences at 10:30 a.m. and travels along North Main Street, concluding at the Wake Forest Community House located at 133 West Owen Avenue. This short route is designed to be accessible and engaging for all young participants.
This event is specifically tailored for children and their families to enjoy a morning of outdoor fun. Participation is free and no advance registration is required, making it a simple way to join the holiday excitement. While the event is casual and welcoming, safety remains a priority for all attendees. Please ensure that all bicyclists wear their helmets throughout the duration of the parade. Join us for this memorable community tradition and help make this year's Fourth of July celebration a special experience for our local families.
